A dream came true! Our HDR Fly-Fishing documentary film was selected to a U.S. Film Festival in Ohio. The Chagrin Documentary Film Festival was named to MovieMaker Magazine’s prestigious list of “Top 50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” for eight years!

To top the great news of being selected for screening was an invitation for Director and Producer, Laurens Bubendorfer, to come there in person! Additionally, the organizers chose “Emerald Paradise – Fly-Fishing in the Soča Valley” as the opening film. They created a Slovenian evening with a traditional dance performance and food. The Consulate General of the Republic of Slovenia sponsored the event. The consul general, Alenka Jerak attended in person and held the opening speech.

The event was fully booked out. Many more people then it was possible wanted to attend so a second screening was organized on short term.  Still not everyone could attend.

It was a wonderful event with a great audience. We competed with our film against Academy Award Winners! That’s why it was a great honor that we where there at all.
