A love letter to the Soča Valley
and the story of saving a species.
In Slovenia, at the heart of the wild and largely untouched Triglav National Park, springs one of the most beautiful rivers in the world — the Soča. After only 140 kilometres it flows into the Adriatic. Its turquoise waters are home to the marble trout (Salmo marmoratus), a species pulled back from the edge of extinction by researchers, fish farmers and fishing clubs.
