Tour Description:

This fly-fishing tour is a great combination of fishing spots, local food and accommodations specialized on fishermen meant to give you an overview of the Soča river and it’s valley. On the first day you fish the most famous upper Soča and Lepena River in the Triglav National Park. A little bit downstream you will fish on the next day a beautiful wild and wide open part of the Soča. In the evening you change your hotel and have a great dinner. Be prepared for the next day to experience special early morning fishing on the lake and later on the lower Soča. In the afternoon you fish on your own. As option you can also skip the early morning session and fish all day with the guide.

Tour Details:

1st Day:

Check in/Welcome at Camp Klin, located inside the Triglav National Park and enjoy a homemade local dinner.

2nd Day:

After the breakfast the guide will pick you up. Right away you start fishing in front of the door of the camp on the precious Lepena River. Due to the small size of the river and a wide open area its perfect for dry-fly fishing. Later, around noon you will be back at the camp. Following a small lunch you will fish the beautiful most upper part of the Soča river. Nowhere else its more likely that you will have a day with catching many beautiful marble trouts. After that, back in the Camp you have another good dinner.

3rd Day:

Contrarily to the first day, you will check out of the camp after breakfast and meet you guide near Bovec. Compared to the upper part of the Soča river, today you will experience a picturesque wide open area with slower water. Most likely you are all alone there with only a few kayakers passing by. Due to limited accessibility you will have a lunchpack with you to be able to stay by the river all day. Afterwards you drive to Kobarid and check in at Hotel Hvala where you will have a nice dinner. Try to catch some sleep since the next day the fishing starts very early.

4th Day:

As final highlight of the tour you will meet your guide at the barrier lake already at 05:00 am. You go with a boat to have extraordinary sight fishing and good chances to catch a trophy fish. After this early morning session you have a good breakfast by the lake. Until lunch at a local restaurant you fish on the lower Soča or the lower Tolminka river. In the afternoon you can fish on your own until the evening when you have another nice dinner at the hotel.

5th Day:

Check out after breakfast.
